Eurovision Act Announced

It has been revealed that boyband Blue are to represent the UK in this years Eurovision song contest.

Pretty much everyone has reacted with the same response: "didn't Blue break up?" except for their former producer, who has said he is shocked at their decision to enter Eurovision as there is little the UK can do to win and so it will ruin any reputation Blue have.

Essex to join Eastenders

63 year old David Essex is to join Eastenders later this year with his on screen children in tow. He is to play Eddie Moon, Alfie Moon's Uncle and the grandfather of baby Tommy, who is of course the living child left in the controversial baby swop/cot death story line.

In other Eastenders news, after having to re write the baby swop story line after being inundated with they are due to air yet another controversial story just weeks later. This time round it is based around the idea of Sexploitation. The storyline will involve Janine pimping out Whitney to men whilst Whitney is totally unaware of the fact that she is selling sex. To try and avoid yet more complaints they are working with Comic Relief with this plot.

We'll have to see how that story line pans out or if we will be seeing another story cut short in a rushed re-write.

He has been the front runner for the job since Jason Manford quit, after only a short spell in the job, following the discovery of his innappropriate messages sent to several women.

Sky Sports Sexism Scandal

Sky Sports presenters Richard Keys and Andy Gray were caught making sexist comments after the apperance of the female referee's assistant Sain Massey in the weekend's Liverpool vs Wolves match.
The pair were offair and thought their microphones were also off, however, they were mistaken and were recorded making sexist comments including "women don't know the offside rule."

On Monday it emerged that Keys had phoned Massey in person to apologise for his comments.

Today it has been revealed that Andy Gray has been sacked after evidence was found of him making further sexist remarks about both Massey and the ex-girlfriend of Jamie Redknapp. It has also become apparent that Gray was behaving 'inappropraitely' towards Sky Sports co-presenter Charlotte Jackson during rehearsals for a christmas special.

Clooney in the clear

Thanks to a trailor for US show Piers Morgan Tonight we now know that George Clooney has just about recovered from a second bout of Malaria, which he caught whilst on a humanitarian visit to Sudan.

George, ever modest, is using his recovery as an opportunity to point out how fortunate we are to have such advanced medicines in the western world, and that access to this medicine does make a huge difference in our ability to recover from such deadly diseases.
In a statement about his recovery, Clooney said: "This illustrates how with proper medication, the most lethal condition in Africa can be reduced to a bad 10 days instead of a death sentence."
I'm sure we will hear more on the subject when he appears on Peirs Morgan Tonight this Friday

Get Well Soon George!

Gervais: They knew what they were getting

Ricky Gervais has today spoken personally in defense of his contraversial performace at the Golden Globes earlier this week. He has stated that the producers knew exactly what kind of content they would be getting when they hired him and that as an outsider to the hollywood industry he felt he could not "come out there as everyones mate and schmooze." Instead he felt that it was his job to "roast" the A-listers, saying he's sure they have a sense of humour.

On a lighter note, it seems that David Brent is back! Ricky will be bringing the role back for a cameo apperance in the American version of The Office; starring Steve Carrell, on January 27th.

Take That To Fall Again?

It has been reported that Robbie Williams is already fed up with the band since he rejoined the band back in July 2010 and rumours are spreading fast that he will soon leave the ever more popular man-band.
Even new best friend Gary Barlow has said before now that he see's the band's future as a four-piece.
Perhaps it is for the best that they split back to a foursome if Robbie is unhappy with the band, although it would be bad news for all Take That fans, at least we wouldn't see nasty fall outs between Robbie and Gary all over again - which could even lead to a full band split once more!!
Don't worry though girls - I'm sure they will manage to hold it together for the upcoming tour!

Anne Hathaway To Play Catwoman

Michelle Pfeiffer has graciously handed down her black catsuit and whip to the lovely Anne Hathaway, who has been named as the person to play Catwoman in the new Batman Returns film.

I'm sure we are all agreed - she will look stunning!

Katy Perrie IS...

...going on tour?
All that fuss and press coverage and her big travel up to facebook headquaters was infact to announce that she is going on tour across ascross the USA, Canada and many other places!
Now, of course this is VERY exciting news for all Katy Perrie fans (and perhaps for some still hopefully Russel Brand devotes who may now have it in their heads that its still not too late!) and I'm sure tickets will sell out fast - but i'll admit, I'm a little dissapointed, it would have been lovely to see little tiny Brand babies toddling around with great big eyes and even bigger hair!

Gervais Controversy at Globes

It was Ricky's second year running hosting the Golden Globe awards and despite being known for his outrageous and sometimes plain rude comedy, it seems he may have overstepped the mark with American tv producers.

Gervais managed to insult most of Hollywood during the show, however, one remark reffering to the sexuality of an unnamed actor and scientologist caused a gasp of shock to ripple through the audience. Shortly after this the host dissappeared for a considerable amount of time before reportedly returning 'subdued'

Ricky denies that he chastised by bosses during his time away from stage, and that this absense was infact planned - with the mood backstage being great, despite the majority of the audience not seeming to react too positivly towards the personal jibes the British presenter aimed at them.

Will Ricky Gervais return to present a third Golden Globes in 2012? Only time will tell.

They said it wouldn't last.....and it didn't!

After a full 11 months of *ahem* marrital bliss, Katie Price and Alex Reid have announced their divorce.
Katie allegedly revealed to her girlfriends that Alex had become a clone of Peter Andre and she addmitted that it was all over because she didn't want to be married to another 'fame obbsessed man'
Alex, after breaking back into their Surrey mansion due to Katie having changed the locks, is now demanding a £1 million payment in order for him to leave their home, however, Ms Price is doing her upmost to ensure Alex doesn't see a penny.
Oh, and it looks like there is a braincell left inside his Cagefighter head - he seems to have woken up to reality and is questioning whether Katie ever really loved him or if the whole relationship was just a publicity stunt.

Look out boys - Jordan's on the loose again...who do we think will be her next target?

Is Mrs Brand Expecting?

Katy Perry has today said that later this week she will be visiting the headquaters of Facebook in order to make an official update on her own personal page as her way of announcing some very exciting news.
Could this mean the pitter patter of tiny feet in the Brand household? Watch this space while we wait with baited breath for the big announcment - here's hoping they aren't just going to tell us they've booked an all inclusive holiday to Disneyworld!

Posh IS Preggers

So, we've waited in suspense for 6 long years, watching Posh's every move, with tabloids getting over excited everytime she gained the slightest bit of wieght claiming it was a sure sign she was trying for another baby. Well this week, it was officially announced that the Beckahm's are expecting another child to add to their brood.
Now the only question left to ask is: Will Posh get the girl she desires?

The story, of course, has been splashed all over the press, with bookys already taking bets on the baby's sex (the odds show bookmakers are hedging for another boy) aswell prospective names for the child (with David Junior and Elton topping the list of boys names and Sandra heading the poll for girls)
Comedians have also jumped on the story with my personal favourite joke coming from Graham Norton saying: ' yes Posh is pregnant, she's now eating for one!'

No official dates have been given but with Posh due to give birth in the summer I am sure we are all in for a treat in high fashion maternity wear!
