Man-Band Down.....Again!

Gary Barlow has revealed that Robbie Williams has quit Take That yet again.
It was only July 2010 when it was revealed that Robbie Williams had rejoined the newly successful Take That and now, in October 2011, he has left to concentrate on his solo career once more.

Barlow and Williams were seen at the weekend choosing Gary's talent for the X-Factor and were quite clearly getting on, so don't fear fans, there have been no nasty rows and the rest of the band seem to be in tact and are continuing as a 4-piece.

Robbie's split had been planned since before the bands European tour. Gary Barlow has said that when performing on their last date in Munich he found himself on stage wondering if they would ever be a five-piece band again, although he has not ruled out another reunion.

Pranked!

Russell Brand has done it again and fooled us all. Last night his Canada show at Casino Rama had to be cancelled at the very last minute.

His twitter account seemed to be Brand saying that he was not able to enter the country for reasons unknown and if they didn't let him in soon he was going to be late.

Later on he seemed to confirm that he had indeed been refused entry to Canada posting this tweet: "Tonight's Casino Rama show postponed. I'm sorry. I can't enter Canada. We must abolish the borders between our nations and our minds."

This story was picked up swiftly by the media, given there was a history behind it to give the tale some credibilty (Brand had been deported from Japan in May this year for his previous drugs offences.) However, it later emerged that there had been no problems with the border agencies and there had, in fact, been a technically issue with his plane and he had never actually left the ground.

Always the joker Rus!

Amanda Holden left alone again

This week has left Amanda Holden alone on the Britain's Got Talent judging panel yet again.
Last year she was left not knowing who she would be working alongside when both Simon Cowell and Peirce Morgan quit the show to persue their careers in America.

This year it has been announced that David Hasslehoff has been sacked from the show after ratings fell significantly with him as a judge as he failed to bring the expected 'Sparkle' to the show. The fact he could not understand the accents of most of the contestents also hurt his chances of returning for a second series.

This news comes just days after Micheal McIntyre announced he has decided to quit the show as he is embarking on a 100-day tour around the time the show is ending, and has decided he would rather get in some time with his family (he and his wife have two young boys together) before the tour rather than trying to juggle the 2 major commitments and get in soem family time.
Rumour has it that Cheryl Cole has been offered £5 million to take a seat on the judging panel for the upcoming series - what will Amanda Holden make of no longer being Queen of Talent?

X-factor's all change again!

Welcome to the world Baby Beckham

Victoria Beckham give birth to a healthy baby girl via C-section early Sunday morning. She weighed in at 7 pounds and both Mum and baby are doing well according to tweets from Dad David.

They have named their daughter Harper Seven. Harper is old english name that Victoria has apparently always loved, although rumour has it that their 3 sons chose the name from a Disney TV show they love to watch. Seven is the more unusual name and although they say it was chosen because it was believed to be a lucky spiritual number, it also happens to be the number David wore on his shirts when he played for Manchester United and the England football team.

Congratulations to the Beckham's!

First she was knocked off the top spot of the Sunday Times Music Rich List, and then also pushed out of first place in FHM's World's Sexiest Woman poll by Rosie Huntingdon - Whiteley; the 5th May did look like it was going to be a good day for Cheryl Cole.

However, later today, after months of rumour and media hype, it was finally confirmed that Cheryl would taking one of the seats on the judging panel of the US X-factor.
This is great news for Cheryl as it means she can focus more on her career and on becoming a hit on the other side of the pond, and finally be able to move on from her ex-husband Ashley Cole - being busy in LA will certainly keep her from the temptation to text him again!

So from all Cheryl's fan's, conratulations and good luck!

THE Royal Wedding

The big day has arrived and what an occassion it was! With over 1 million people lining the streets of london and an estimated 2 billion people watching worldwide, a fairytale came true as the Middle class girl next door became a princess as Catherine Middleton married Prince William and became Princess William, the Duchess of Cambridge.

It was a very joyous day, and even the British weather stayed dry as a reward for those who had been camping for days to catch a glimps of the newly weds in their open top carriage.

Westminster Abbey was decorated in beautiful flowers and trees, which will later be replanted, lined the isles. Over 2000 people made up the congregation with guests including members of the charities William is involved with, foriegn Royalty, celebrity friends including The Beckhams and Elton John, and the couples close family and friends.

The weddings most closely guarded secret was the Kate's wedding dress. Clues were given in advance just minutes before the bride was due to arrive when we saw her sister Pipa arrive in a simple white dress with a cowell neck and button detailing down the back, designed by Sarah Burton of Alexandra McQueen along with the flower girls, also in simple ivory dresses, and the page boys in their miniature military style outfits.
When Kate did step out of the Goring Hotel, she got straight into her car and we cuaght our first glimps of the dress through the windows as they carefully folded her 2.7 metre long train into the car behind her and her father.

When the car arrived at Westminster Abbey at 11am sharp, Kate emerged and we all saw the dress everyone had been talking about in all it's glory for the very first time. Kate also wore a Sarah Burton creation and looked absolutley stunning in the strapless, ivory dress with a lace overlay that covered her shoulders and arms, along with a gorgeous handmade lace veil, held in place with the Queens Halo tiara, on loan to Kate for the occassion.
Pipa came to help lay the train carefully around her sister as she prepared to take the 3 minute walk down the isle to marry her Prince.
As Kate came into view of the congregation around the alter, Bestman Prince Harry turned to look at her and whispered to his brother, who restrained himself and did not look at his bride until she was stood next him, "wait till you see Catherine."
When William did see Catherine a beaming smile broke out across his face and he leaned over and said to his bride "you look beautiful"

The couple shared several intimate moments during the ceremony, including when the ring was being a little stubborn about going onto Kate's finger.

After the ceremony, William and Catherine emerged together from the Abbey and got into their open top, horse drawn carriage ready for the procession down The Mall and into Buckinham Palace. Catherine proved that she knew her stuff as a member of the Royal family, waving at the crowd and bowing her head in respect at precisly the right moments as they passed memorials and as they heard the national anthem play out along the procession.

Just over an hour late when the couple made their historic and traditional appearance on the balcony with other royals and the wedding party, the roar from the crowd was possibly the loudest of the day. People were a little impatient waiting for the much anticipated kiss and the thousands of people standing outside the gates of Buckingham Palace chanting "kiss! kiss!" The couple gave in and the audience got what they wanted - a quick peck on the lips that the couple seemed to enjoy very much. A few minutes later, as all eyes were looking to the skys waiting for the appraoching flyover, the crowd decided they wanted another kiss and Will said to his bride "one more kiss? go on then, on more" and they leant in for a slightly longer kiss followed by a huge smile on the new Duchess's beautiful face.

The couple then when back inside the Palace for the formal reception lunch, hosted by the Queen, for all the foreign royalty in attendance at the wedding. At 3:30 the couple left to spend a few hours in private at Clarance House before their slightly more casual evening reception, hosted by Prince Charles, to include a Disco and the Best Man's speech.
William surprised us all by driving his bride to Clarance House himself in his fathers Aston Martin that had been decorated with ballons and a liscence plate reading "Just Wed" on the back.

At around 8pm the couple left Clarence House with a number of their guests and Catherine had changed out of her wedding dress into a second, equally beautiful and classically understated Sarah Burton dress.

Many have commented on Catherine's wedding dress resembling that of the late Princess of Monaco Grace Kelly, and some have also picked up on its striking resemblence to the dress worn by Julie Andrews in the film The Sound Of Music. Whatever Catherine's dress reminded people of, there is no denying that it was the perfect dress for the occasion and Catherine looked radiant in it, and throughout the day played the perfect part of the fairytale Princess, making her childhood dream come true and sealing her 7 year courtship with the Prince with a promise that it would last forever.

Clooney in the clear

Thanks to a trailor for US show Piers Morgan Tonight we now know that George Clooney has just about recovered from a second bout of Malaria, which he caught whilst on a humanitarian visit to Sudan.

George, ever modest, is using his recovery as an opportunity to point out how fortunate we are to have such advanced medicines in the western world, and that access to this medicine does make a huge difference in our ability to recover from such deadly diseases.
In a statement about his recovery, Clooney said: "This illustrates how with proper medication, the most lethal condition in Africa can be reduced to a bad 10 days instead of a death sentence."
I'm sure we will hear more on the subject when he appears on Peirs Morgan Tonight this Friday

Get Well Soon George!

Gervais: They knew what they were getting

Ricky Gervais has today spoken personally in defense of his contraversial performace at the Golden Globes earlier this week. He has stated that the producers knew exactly what kind of content they would be getting when they hired him and that as an outsider to the hollywood industry he felt he could not "come out there as everyones mate and schmooze." Instead he felt that it was his job to "roast" the A-listers, saying he's sure they have a sense of humour.

On a lighter note, it seems that David Brent is back! Ricky will be bringing the role back for a cameo apperance in the American version of The Office; starring Steve Carrell, on January 27th.

Take That To Fall Again?

It has been reported that Robbie Williams is already fed up with the band since he rejoined the band back in July 2010 and rumours are spreading fast that he will soon leave the ever more popular man-band.
Even new best friend Gary Barlow has said before now that he see's the band's future as a four-piece.
Perhaps it is for the best that they split back to a foursome if Robbie is unhappy with the band, although it would be bad news for all Take That fans, at least we wouldn't see nasty fall outs between Robbie and Gary all over again - which could even lead to a full band split once more!!
Don't worry though girls - I'm sure they will manage to hold it together for the upcoming tour!

Anne Hathaway To Play Catwoman

Michelle Pfeiffer has graciously handed down her black catsuit and whip to the lovely Anne Hathaway, who has been named as the person to play Catwoman in the new Batman Returns film.

I'm sure we are all agreed - she will look stunning!

Katy Perrie IS...

...going on tour?
All that fuss and press coverage and her big travel up to facebook headquaters was infact to announce that she is going on tour across ascross the USA, Canada and many other places!
Now, of course this is VERY exciting news for all Katy Perrie fans (and perhaps for some still hopefully Russel Brand devotes who may now have it in their heads that its still not too late!) and I'm sure tickets will sell out fast - but i'll admit, I'm a little dissapointed, it would have been lovely to see little tiny Brand babies toddling around with great big eyes and even bigger hair!

Gervais Controversy at Globes

It was Ricky's second year running hosting the Golden Globe awards and despite being known for his outrageous and sometimes plain rude comedy, it seems he may have overstepped the mark with American tv producers.

Gervais managed to insult most of Hollywood during the show, however, one remark reffering to the sexuality of an unnamed actor and scientologist caused a gasp of shock to ripple through the audience. Shortly after this the host dissappeared for a considerable amount of time before reportedly returning 'subdued'

Ricky denies that he chastised by bosses during his time away from stage, and that this absense was infact planned - with the mood backstage being great, despite the majority of the audience not seeming to react too positivly towards the personal jibes the British presenter aimed at them.

Will Ricky Gervais return to present a third Golden Globes in 2012? Only time will tell.

They said it wouldn't last.....and it didn't!

After a full 11 months of *ahem* marrital bliss, Katie Price and Alex Reid have announced their divorce.
Katie allegedly revealed to her girlfriends that Alex had become a clone of Peter Andre and she addmitted that it was all over because she didn't want to be married to another 'fame obbsessed man'
Alex, after breaking back into their Surrey mansion due to Katie having changed the locks, is now demanding a £1 million payment in order for him to leave their home, however, Ms Price is doing her upmost to ensure Alex doesn't see a penny.
Oh, and it looks like there is a braincell left inside his Cagefighter head - he seems to have woken up to reality and is questioning whether Katie ever really loved him or if the whole relationship was just a publicity stunt.

Look out boys - Jordan's on the loose again...who do we think will be her next target?

Is Mrs Brand Expecting?

Katy Perry has today said that later this week she will be visiting the headquaters of Facebook in order to make an official update on her own personal page as her way of announcing some very exciting news.
Could this mean the pitter patter of tiny feet in the Brand household? Watch this space while we wait with baited breath for the big announcment - here's hoping they aren't just going to tell us they've booked an all inclusive holiday to Disneyworld!

Posh IS Preggers

So, we've waited in suspense for 6 long years, watching Posh's every move, with tabloids getting over excited everytime she gained the slightest bit of wieght claiming it was a sure sign she was trying for another baby. Well this week, it was officially announced that the Beckahm's are expecting another child to add to their brood.
Now the only question left to ask is: Will Posh get the girl she desires?

The story, of course, has been splashed all over the press, with bookys already taking bets on the baby's sex (the odds show bookmakers are hedging for another boy) aswell prospective names for the child (with David Junior and Elton topping the list of boys names and Sandra heading the poll for girls)
Comedians have also jumped on the story with my personal favourite joke coming from Graham Norton saying: ' yes Posh is pregnant, she's now eating for one!'

No official dates have been given but with Posh due to give birth in the summer I am sure we are all in for a treat in high fashion maternity wear!
